Milton Arther Cumpton, Sr.

Mr. Milton Arther Cumpton, Sr., age 86 of Jackson, passed away on August 20, 2023, at his residence.

Milton was born on July 26, 1937, in Okeechobee, Florida to the late Anchor and Kathrine Cumpton. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brothers; Anchor (Jr.) Cumpton, Broman Cumpton and his wife Nancy, along with a sister; Nada Blount and Billy.

Milton is survived by his Loving wife; Carolyn Maddox, son; Milton (Mack) Arther Cumpton, Jr. and Catherine, John (Ronnie) Mabry and Tony, brother Robert (Bob) Cumpton and Patsy along with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Milton was of the Christian faith. He was an electrician and owner of his company in Florida and Jackson, Georgia. He loved to visit the mountains, go camping, and just to ride around town. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Milton Cumpton will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Rock Church, 1479 Hwy 36 East, Jackson, GA, Reverend Greg Johns and Brother Dave Norris will preside. Friends may visit with the Family at the Church beginning at 1:30 PM on the day of the Service.
