Patricia Jane McCafferty Nix

Patricia Jane McCafferty Nix, age 82, of Locust Grove, GA passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at her residence. She was born December 10, 1936 in Sligo, PA daughter of the late Richard Lee and Margaret Ruth Craig McCafferty. She was wife of the late Jack Nix.

She was retired from the Clayton County Children’s Center where she was employed for 30 plus years . She enjoyed painting, sewing, antiques and arts and crafts. She was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Locust Grove.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Kelly Nix; grandchildren, Jennifer and Matt Fletcher, Daniel Nix and Tanya, Macee Nix, Lennox Nix, Kaly Pittman, Low Fletcher; 11 Great Grandchildren; 3 brothers, 3 Sisters and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Lee Nix in 2010 and 2 sisters

Funeral services for Patricia Jane Nix will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00PM at the Heritage Baptist Church in Locust Grove, GA, Rev. Terrell Hopkins will officiate with interment in the Jackson, GA City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church 2 hours prior to the funeral (12PM – 2:00PM).
