Randall Edward McNish

Randall Edward McNish, affectionately known as Randy to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, at Piedmont Henry Medical Center. He was born on August 16, 1960, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Randy lived life in his own way—a true rambling man at heart. His journey was not always easy, as he faced struggles with addiction throughout much of his life. Even so, he continued to move forward, doing the best he could and loving in the only ways he knew how. Beneath it all, Randy carried a gentle spirit and a kind heart that those closest to him will always remember. As it is written, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9)—a reminder that even in life’s struggles, grace remains.

He graduated from Forest Park High School in 1978 and spent many years working with A1 Roofing before later working at Gambino’s Mexican Restaurant, where his friendly personality left a lasting impression.

Randy had a deep love for sports, especially the University of Tennessee and the Atlanta Falcons. He also found joy in life’s simple pleasures—listening to music, spending time browsing thrift stores, and collecting all kinds of odds and ends that others may have overlooked but he saw value in.

He is survived by his son, Jake McNish; daughter, Nikki Roberts; son-in-law, Jeff Roberts; and grandson, Greyson Roberts. He is also survived by his sisters, Darlene Patterson and Suzanne Rice. He was preceded in death by his father, Hiram Edward McNish, and his mother, Norma Jean Underwood.

Randy will be remembered as someone who walked his own path, made friends easily, and carried a spirit that was both restless and kind. Though his life had its challenges, he leaves behind memories, stories, and a reminder that love can exist even in imperfect ways.

A graveside service to honor Randy’s life will be held at the City of Jenkinsburg Cemetery on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with Kenny Heath officiating.
