Rebecca Gail (Becky) Glidewell

Rebecca Gail (Becky) Glidewell peacefully passed away Sunday April 4, 2021 at Autumn Village Assisted Living. She was born Saturday September 21, 1947 in Griffin, GA to the late Hugh M. Glidewell, Sr. and Marcella Mary Wiest Glidewell. She was a member of the Jackson High School Class of 1965. Becky was a Registered Nurse, after graduation from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. She had been employed by St. Joseph’s Hospital and McIntosh Trail Mental Health for much of her career.  Becky was an avid reader and a member of St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church

Becky is survived by two brothers; Thomas M. Glidewell and William P. Glidewell, three sisters; Cynthia M. Glidewell, Janice K. Lueken and Mary G. Kissel, many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by four siblings; Patricia M. Jackson, Barbara A Glidewell, Beverly L. Lenter, and Hugh M. Glidewell, Jr.

The Funeral Mass for Rebecca Gail (Becky) Glidewell will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church, Father Jose Kochuparampil will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour immediately prior to the Service at the Church. Burial will follow in the Glidewell family lot in the Jackson City Cemetery. Please remember to wear mask and observe social distancing in accordance with the CDC guidelines when attending the Mass and visitation.
