Rebecca Jinks Smith

Rebecca Jinks Smith, age 93 of Jackson passed away Thursday April 9, 2020. She was a resident of Westbury Medical Care and Rehab.

She was born Sunday August 15, 1926 to the late Gales W. and Vida Bonds Jinks. She loved going to the mountains, she enjoyed visiting with her friends, playing bingo and cards.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence F. (Smitty) Smith, son; Matthew Adam Smith, brother; Lamar P. Jinks, sisters; Louise (Baby) Jinks, Emma Jinks Richardson, Marion Jinks Paul, and Virginia Jinks Mann.

Rebecca is survived by her children; Bonita Gale Moore and Chris L. Smith, sister; Barbara Jinks Stephens, grandchildren; Christopher B. and Danielle Smith, Rebecca J. Smith, Jody W. and Tina Brooks, Melanie Brooks Dekle, Crissy Moore Tanner and many loving friends.

Graveside services will be Monday April 13, 2020 at 2 PM in the Cedar Rock Cemetery, Dr. Ed Hoard will officiate. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will not be a family visitation, friends and family may visit the Funeral Home Friday April 9, 2020, 8 AM to 5 PM and Saturday April 10, 8 AM to 4 PM to sign the Guest Registry. Those desiring may visit the online registry at www.haistenfuneral.com.

The family requests everyone to observe the social distancing guidelines suggested by the CDC when attending the Graveside Service.
