Regeanol Hesper Pulliam

Mr. Regeanol Hesper (Reggie) Pulliam, age 82, of Springfield, GA and formerly of Jackson, passed away at his residence Monday, December 16, 2024, with his family at his side. Reggie was born in Jackson Thursday, July 16, 1942, to the late John Robert and Bessie Benton Pulliam. He was a graduate of Jackson High School and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force; the Air Reserve and the Georgia National Guard having served in England and Japan. Reggie retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections with over 26 years of service with a great deal of those years at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Center in Jackson and Rogers State Prison in Reidsville.  He was an active member of the Abundant Life Church in Springfield and was happy to fill the pulpit at The Rock Baptist Church on special occasions.  Before his health began to fail Reggie could be found buying and selling cars or eating at his favorite restaurant with his loving family.

Reggie passed away on he and his late wife Sherille Ann Pulliam’s 60th anniversary. Anyone that knew Reggie knew that he has been lost without her since her death in August of 2013. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Venessa and Billy Mullis of Springfield and his son Nathanael Pulliam of Metter along with his 3 grandchildren: Abigail Mullis, Aubrey Mullis and Lincoln Mullis.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Regeanol Hesper (Reggie) Pulliam will be held in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 3 PM. Dr. Ed Hoard will officiate. Interment will follow the Service in the Jackson City Cemetery, you may visit with the family immediately prior to the Service beginning at 2 PM.
