Richard McGilvery (Rick) Fletcher

Mr. Richard McGilvery Fletcher (Rick) age 71 of Jackson, peacefully passed away at his residence Thursday morning, February 20, 2025. Rick was born Wednesday, December 16, 1953. He was the second of three sons born to the late Lovett and Catherine Harrington Fletcher. Rick was a 1971 graduate of Jackson High School. After graduation he earned two Bachelor’s Degrees in business administration and accounting from the University of Georgia and spent his career in the accounting management field. He was employed with Rockwell Automation for 30 years and retired at the position of Assistant Manager. Rick was a lifelong member of the Jackson Presbyterian Church. He liked spending his spare time with his family, farming, woodworking and traveling.

Rick is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Carol Fletcher, daughter’s and son-in-law Kathyrn Evelyn & Michael Paul Johnson all of Jackson and Mary Anne Merritt Fletcher of Ft. Collins, CO, his granddaughter Mary Beth Lambros and two brothers: William Lovett Fletcher, Jr. (Bill), of Jackson and Van McLeod Fletcher of Peachtree Corners.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Richard McGilvery Fletcher (Rick) Fletcher will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 11 AM in the Jackson Presbyterian Church, Dr. Ed Hoard and Dr. Kenneth Dobbs will officiate. Interment will follow the Service in the Fellowship Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Monday evening, February 24 from 6 – 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
