Rick Nail

Richard Merril “Rick” Nail, age 35, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Emory University Hospital. He was born in Spalding County, GA September 15, 1980 son of the late Jane Gilbert Nail and Paul Ellis Nail who survives. He was in the Jackson High School Class of 1999. He had attended the First Baptist Church in Jackson. Rick had been employed by A. T. & T. for several years. He loved hunting , fishing, gardening, his Mama, Daddy, his children and family.

Survivors include his children, R.J. Nail, Addison Nail and Gabrielle Nail, his fiancé Courtney McCart, father, Paul Ellis Nail, sister and brother-in-law, Paula Nail Lay and Sean, brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Holly Nail, uncles and aunts, Al and Karen Gilbert, Aliene and Lt. Col. Alan Imes, Merril and Elda Nail, nieces, Anna Quinn Lay, Alyssa Nail, Aleea Nail, Alayna Nail and Alora Nail.

Funeral services for Richard Merril “Rick” Nail will be Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church in Jackson. The Rev.’s Al and Josh Gilbert will officiate with interment in the Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 and Saturday morning from 10 -11 AM before the service at the church.
