Robert "Big Bob" Boan

Robert “Big Bob” Boan, Jr. passed peacefully at his residence at White Oak Farm in Jackson on June 8th 2019. He was born October 17, 1942 to the late Robert, Sr. and Meriam Carpenter Boan. He was the husband of the late Cecelia Giambalvo Boan.  Retired from Equitable Life Insurance Company and was an entrepreneur. 

Survivors include his children, Mary Boan Kildahl, Barbara Boan McKibben, Carol Boan Winders,  Bobby Boan, Philip Boan and Ray Boan;  16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister, Joanne Reasoner; brothers,  Greg  Boan, Richard Boan, and John Boan; and several  nieces and nephews.

The Mass of the Resurrection will be Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Jackson GA. Father Jose Kochuparampil will officiate.  Visitation will be Tuesday June 11, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Crystal Hill Cemetery in Thomaston, GA.  Haisten Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Bob Boan.
