Ruby Kate Moore

Ruby Kate Vickers Moore, age 84, of Jackson passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 at her residence. She was a life-long resident of Butts County born August 29, 1931 in the Cork Community to Marvin Riley Vickers and Bessie Moore Vickers. She was wife of the late Bobby Moore who died in 1996. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Vickers Cawthon and a brother Edwin Moe Vickers. Ruby Kate was secretary for several years at the First Baptist Church in Jackson where she was a member. She had previously worked for Butts County. She was a graduate of Jackson High School in 1948. Survivors include her sons, Jimmy and Kim Moore, Terry and Janice Moore, grandchildren, Stephanie and David Valdivia, Amos and Courtney Moore, Joey and Chastity Brown, Freddy and Kelsey Sublett, and seven great grandchildren. A graveside service for Ruby Kate Moore will be Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10:00AM at the Jackson City Cemetery. Dr. Danny Hughes will officiate. Due to Ruby Kate's love for her dog, cats and other animals it is suggested that memorial donations be made to Butts County Animal Control, 158 Bibb Station Rd., Jackson, GA 30233.
