Ruth Ann (Niblett) Moore

Ruth Ann Moore, age 81 of Jackson, passed away early Saturday morning, December 9, 2023, at Wellstar Sylvan Grove Hospital after a brief illness. Ann was born on Thursday, January 22, 1942, in Forsyth, GA, to Benjamin and Julia Maddox Niblett. Ann had been married to the love of her life, Anderw Moore for over 50 years until his death in 1996. She had devoted her life to raising her children and looking after her husband. She was very active member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where she was deeply involved with the Choir, Bible School, The Women’s Mission as well as teaching Sunday School until her health began to fail. She also loved gardening and watching the Braves, Falcons and her beloved Georgia Bulldogs. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling.

Ann is survived by her children; Donna Moore Tingle, Tricia Moore Slocum grandchildren and their spouses; Teresa & Mitch Hurt, Mandy & Ryan Kelley, Dana Moore & Brooke Slocum; sister & brother-in-law, Jane & John Morris along with many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral Services for Ruth Ann Moore will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 3 PM at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Elder David Cawthon will officiate. Burial will follow the Service in the Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM immediately prior to the Service.
