Shirley Darlyne Anderson Dodson, age 70, of McDonough, GA passed away Wednesday morning December 12, 2018. She was born August 9, 1948 in Atlanta, GA daughter of the late Douglas Darlyn Anderson and Ruby Gerline Keeling Anderson.     She was formerly employed by Mead Packing Co. and was a member of Salem Baptist Church in McDonough.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd Earl Dodson, daughter and son-in-law, Angela Sue and Henry Kitchens of Jackson, son, Jackie Ray Melton, Jr., step daughter, Kathy Wray, sister, Candy Lynn Anderson, brother, David Lee and Deborah Anderson, grandchildren, Joey and Megan Grant, Scott Melton, Haley Melton,   Katie Melton, Kristen Spraggins, Kyle Spraggins, and Kade Spraggins; great grandchildren, Kinleigh Grant, Lola Grant, Saylor Grant, and Cohen Grant and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Shirley Darlyne Dodson will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson with Rev. Rick Statham officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
