Timothy Joseph Smith

Timothy Joseph Smith, age 58, of Flovilla, GA passed away Thursday morning , June 9, 2016 at his residence following an illness of several months. He was born October 10, 1957 in Monticello, GA son of the late Harold and Billie Jo Bailey Smith. His grandparents were the late Lois Reynolds Bailey (Mama Lois) , Dave Bailey, Sr. and Harry and Kitty Maude Smith. He was married to Sherrell Lynn Parker before her death.

Timothy was a graduate of Jackson High School and was a mechanic before ill health forced him to retire. He had been in the United States Army.

Survivors include his children, Erica and Mike Smith and their daughter, Onaka of Columbus, GA, Sean and Amanda Smith of Milner, and their children, Dakota, Matthew, Joey and Sara; his daughter, Hannah Smith of Maine, his twin sister, Tamie Smith Jones and husband Todd Jones and brother, Charlie Smith and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by sister, Twyla Ann Smith in 1955 and son, Timothy Joseph (Joey) Smith, Jr. in 1996.

Funeral services for Timothy Joseph Smith will be Friday, June 10, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Chaplain Alesia O’Reilly will officiate. Interment will be in the Flovilla City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from Noon until 1:00PM.
