Vallie Jacquelyn (Jackie) Cook

Ms. Vallie Jacquelyn Cook, age 82, of Jackson passed away at Brightmoor Hospice early Tuesday morning, June 11, 2024. She was born Sunday, August 10, 1941, in Henry County to the late Pete and Callie Blissit Lunsford. Jackie graduated Jackson High School in the Class of 1958. She had a 35-year career with American Mills, retiring as the Administrative Assistant to the Plant Manager. After her retirement she taught for 4 years at the Heart and Soul Christian Academy. Jackie was a member of Joshua’s Place, and she enjoyed crocheting and shopping on Q.V.C.

Jackie is survived by her sons and daughter in law; Mike & Shelly Cook, Ricky Cook and grandsons; Michael Cook and Kevin Cook, great-grandson; Wyatt Cook, sister; Shirley Kersey and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents Jackie is preceded in death by her sisters: Patsy Earnhart, Joyce Lunsford, Elise Mayo and Joanne Moss.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 1 PM, Pastor Rick Moncrief will officiate. The Family will receive friends immediately prior to the Service beginning at Noon at the Funeral Home.
