Vernon Stanley Waters

Mr. Vernon Stanley Waters, age 78, passed away early Monday, December 19, 2022, at his residence on Jackson Lake after a brief illness. He was born in Dahlogna, GA on Monday, August 7, 1944, to the late Loy Vernon and Inez Dollar Waters. Vernon was in the automobile business for his entire adult life. He was the service manager and then the body shop manager at Martin Burks Chevrolet in Forest Park for 35 years. He retired after over 20 years of service as the body shop manager at Jodeco Auto Body in McDonough.

Mr. Waters attended Rock Springs Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife of 59 years; Dian Alexander Waters, son and daughter-in-law; Kevin & Lisa Waters of Monticello; daughter and son-in-law, Keri & Gator Hodges of Newnan, 4 grandchildren; Coy Waters, Kelsey Stover, Kasey Waters and Noah Hodges along with his brother and sister-in-law; Marcus & Judy Waters of Dadeville, AL.

Funeral services for Mr. Vernon Stanley Waters will be conducted Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Rev. Cameron Shifflett will officiate, interment will follow the Service in the Jackson City Cemetery. The Family will receive friends for 2 hours immediately prior to the Service, beginning Thursday, December 22, 2022, at noon.
