Virginia Ann (Brown) Moss

Virginia Ann Brown Moss, age 96, passed away Tuesday, morning February 14, 2023, at her residence following a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late A.G and Mary Vaughn Brown. Virginia was born Sunday, July 11, 1926, in Jackson. Virginia was a homemaker, a member of Old Bethel Primitive Baptist Church and the daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed word search puzzles, reading and needlework.

Survivors include her daughter; Jean Yell, grandchildren; Steven Yell, Darrel Yell and Sherry Tyler, 7 great-grandchildren including Lilly Alexis Yell and Katelyn Rose Whatley, and 13 great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Nesbit Morris Moss who passed away in December of 2011 along with her daughter; Shelia Leigh Kelly, siblings; Buster Brown and Sarah Brown James.

Graveside Funeral Services for Virginia Ann Brown Moss will be conducted Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Jackson City Cemetery, Elder David Cawthon will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, February 17, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, at the Funeral Home.
