Mr. William Harvey Smith, age 73, unexpectedly passed away at his residence Sunday afternoon May 18, 2025. He was born Thursday November 1, 1951, in the Crawford W. Long Hospital in Atlanta to the late Wilma Smith Waits and Albert W. Smith, Jr. He had attended Walker High School in Ellenwood and Jackson High School. Harvey was very well-known throughout middle Georgia as an Interior Designer, Floral Designer and Event Planner. He was the owner & operator of Flowers by Harvey for the last several years. Prior to becoming self-employed he had been associated with the Riverdale Flower Boutique for over 25 years. Harvey loved the Christmas season and all the decorations that go with it. He adored his Family and friends and will be remembered for his exceptional artistic ability. He was very charitable with his talent and wanted to provide the best value possible for his clients.
Survivors include his brothers & sisters in law; Don & Debra Smith of Milner, Harold (Hamburger) & Ruth Smith along with Emory (Junior) & Cindy Waits all of Flovilla one sister Dianne Smith (Danny Pino) of Jackson, his niece Brandy Smith Danison (Chris Hughes) and three nephews; Andrew Smith, Brian Waits and Kevin Waits.
Funeral Services for Mr. William Harvey Smith will be conducted in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Wednesday May 21, 2025, at 1 PM, Dr. Ed Hoard will officiate with entombment in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum located in the Jackson City Cemetery. Light refreshments will follow the Service at Rivers Ranch, please join in to celebrate Harvey. You may visit with the Family immediately prior to the Service beginning at 11 AM.
